Stand Eternal

Devlog #1 — Stand Eternal

The game has a name. Stand Eternal won the naming gauntlet — domain registered, Steam slot open, Discord opened. A look at the technical backbone running today and the road ahead through Foundation MVP.

The game has a name.

After a rigorous naming gauntlet — nineteen candidates tested, sixteen killed by trademarks, occupied domains, or fantasy IPs that beat me to it — three survivors emerged. Stand Eternal won.

The domain is registered. The Steam slot is open. This Discord is the first public ground. The community begins here.

What is Stand Eternal

A civilization MMO that blends three things almost nobody combines:

  • Rise of Kingdoms' meta-game — your House lives 24/7, even when you're offline
  • RimWorld's worker autonomy — heroes act on priority, mood, and skill, not micromanagement
  • Foxhole / EVE's seamless world — a single shared map where supply lines, frontiers, and ambushes emerge

No pay-to-win. House dynasty across generations. Workers visible in real time. Combat fully real-time. Frontier rules so nobody gets attacked from nowhere.

Where we are

The technical backbone runs. Server-authoritative seamless world. Snapshot interpolation for tight visuals. Day/night cycle. Autonomous workers with priorities, needs, and traits. Basic combat. Multi-chunk fog of war. Alliances. All working in private dev builds.

The next stretch — Foundation MVP — is about making it feel like Stand Eternal. House identity (sigil, color, narrative). The signup ritual where you found your dynasty. Refined movement speeds (workers at RimWorld pace, caravans plodding at trade-route speed). The houses database. Keep tier metas.

After Foundation, the road runs through hero catalogs, frontier territory rules, alliances, the economy, world scale-up to 10,000×10,000 tiles, monuments, tech tree, combat units, Wonders, Faction Wars, and full visual identity via AI generation. Eighteen phases mapped to MVP, then post-MVP horizons (Voluntary Ascension, Apex tier, Saga seasons).

This week

  • Track A — refactor worker speeds + houses database schema (foundational)
  • Track B — House identity UI + signup ritual (first thing players see)

Proper screenshots will land once Casa identity renders on screen.

Join the journey

This community is small and personal right now. A few First Founders. A Discord that just opened. A long road ahead.

If you're here, you're early. React 🛠️ in #welcome for devlog pings. Drop a hi in #general. Tell me what you'd like to see in this game.

Long live the Houses.
