Frequently asked
Questions, answered honestly.
If your question is not here, ask it on Discord — we read every message.
- When does Stand Eternal launch?
- A first playable alpha is targeted for late 2026, with full launch following once the world has stabilised through stress testing and content depth. We post weekly devlog updates so you can track progress in real time.
- What platforms does it run on?
- Steam (Windows, macOS, Linux), iOS, and Android — all as primary platforms with full gameplay parity. A web HTML5 build is available as a secondary delivery for browser play. A Telegram companion bot delivers status and notifications.
- Is there cross-platform play?
- Yes. There is a single persistent world. Steam, iOS, and Android players all live on the same map, with one account. There are no platform-locked shards.
- How much does it cost?
- Stand Eternal is subscription-only with regional pricing matched to the Steam pricing matrix. Final amounts are still being calibrated and will be announced before launch — subscribe to the newsletter to be notified the day pricing is finalised. Three days free to try, no credit card required up front.
- Is there pay-to-win?
- No. Strictly. No paid heroes, no timer skips, no purchasable resources, no combat advantage, no exclusive paid cosmetics. The only paid item is an optional one-time Founder Pack (launch year only) which is cosmetic-only and grants lifetime subscription. See the full no-pay-to-win pledge for details.
- What are the system requirements?
- The 2D top-down art style runs comfortably on modest hardware. Final spec will publish closer to launch, but the design target is: any laptop made in the last 5 years, any iPhone or Android phone made in the last 4 years.
- How do I get into the alpha or beta?
- Join the Discord and follow the devlog. Beta invites will go out to community members first. Subscribers to the email list get invite codes the day they are issued.
- What languages will be supported?
- English at launch. Portuguese (Brazil) follows shortly after, given the LATAM regional pricing tier. Additional languages will be added based on community size; localisation is community-supported via standard .po files.
- Will my House be deleted if I stop subscribing?
- No. If you stop subscribing your account becomes read-only — your House persists in the world, your buildings stand, but you cannot issue new commands. Resume the subscription and you pick up exactly where you left off. We never delete a paid House.
- Can I play offline or solo?
- Stand Eternal is an MMO; gameplay requires a server connection. You can play with very small social engagement — a single House on the outer ring, defended by frontier rules — but the world itself is shared with everyone.
- What happens if I get attacked while I am offline?
- Multi-layer protections apply. Frontier requirements mean you cannot be attacked by anyone whose territory does not touch yours; sleeping defenders are still defended by their alliance; alliance-rescue mechanics give your timezone-spread allies a chance to reinforce. The full system is documented in the world rules.
- Who is making this?
- A small independent team. Stand Eternal is intentionally not a AAA-budget MMO — the design is shaped around what a focused team plus modern tooling can build sustainably, with a fair-play subscription business model that does not require whale economics to survive.
