What we collect, and what we don't.

Stand Eternal is made by Eternal Forge, a one-person studio. This page describes everything the website and the game actually store about you. If something here is unclear, email stand.eternal.game@gmail.com and ask.

The short version

  • We never sell or rent your data. There is no buyer, and no plan to find one.
  • There are no advertising trackers on this site and none in the game.
  • We collect the minimum needed to email you, run your account, and keep the servers up.
  • You can ask us to delete everything at any time, and we will.

The newsletter signup

When you submit your email on this site we store four things: the email address, which page you submitted it from, your IP address, and your browser's user agent string. The last two exist to catch spam submissions, nothing else.

We use it to send development updates and, eventually, an invite when a playable build is ready. Every email we send carries an unsubscribe link. You can also just ask us to remove you.

Your game account

Playing Stand Eternal requires an account, because the world is shared and the server is authoritative. The account holds your email address and a securely hashed password, handled by our authentication provider. We never see your password.

Alongside it we store your game state: your House name, sigil and colour, your heroes, your buildings, your resources, and your position in the world. That is the save file. It exists because the game cannot work without it, and it is tied to your account rather than to you personally.

Analytics

This site uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights. They record page views, rough device type, country, and page load performance. They do not set cookies and do not build a profile that follows you across other sites. We use it to see which pages people read, and whether the site is slow.

Who else touches your data

We run on third-party infrastructure rather than our own hardware. The providers below process data on our behalf, each under their own privacy policy:

  • Supabase hosts the database and the authentication system.
  • Vercel hosts this website and provides the analytics described above.
  • Cloudflare handles DNS for standeternal.com.

Servers may be located outside your country, including in the United States and the European Union. Our Discord community is run by Discord Inc. under their own policy, and anything you post there is governed by it rather than by this page.

How long we keep it

Newsletter emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask for removal. Account and game data are kept while the account exists. Delete the account and both go with it. Nothing is retained as a hidden backup copy beyond the ordinary rolling backups our infrastructure providers keep for disaster recovery, which age out on their own.

Your rights

Under Brazil's LGPD, the EU's GDPR, and comparable laws elsewhere, you can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it, or erase it. You can also withdraw consent for the newsletter at any time.

Email stand.eternal.game@gmail.com and say what you want done. We aim to answer within 30 days. There is no form to fill in and no retention flow designed to talk you out of it.

Children

Stand Eternal is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email us and we will remove it.

Changes to this page

The game is in active development, so what we store will change as features ship. When it does, this page changes with it and the date at the top moves. Material changes will also be announced in the devlog rather than slipped in quietly.
